March and April

The kids enjoyed getting dressed up for Easter. Mikaela loved having her hair curled! They had a blast doing an Easter egg hunt at Mimi and PopPop's house! Daddy really wanted some of Elijah chocolate bunny!

In April, the kids finished their first year of Awana. Each week the kids would memorize and recite a different Bible verse, learn about different Bible stories, play games and do a craft. Elijah was in Cubbies and Mikaela was in Sparks. The awards ceremony was great. All of the cubbies sang a couple of songs and recited their key verse. Mikaela received a special award for completing her entire Sparks book (which was about 100 verses and memorizing all of the books in the New Testament)!

Tim and I were in Awana when we were kids and loved it! We are so excited that our church offers it and that our kids have the opportunity to be a part of this awesome club!

Welcome to our Blog!

We are excited to keep you all updated in our lives and hope to keep in touch better through our web log.

First, we want to share about our trip to Disneyland last October. We had a blast! We went to California Adventure and Disneyland for 3 days. The kids loved both! Grandma Radcliff, Uncle Cory and Aunt Eris came with us for 2 of the days. Mikaela and Mommy went to the Princess lunch. Mikaela was so excited to see the Princesses and especially looked forward to seeing Sleeping Beauty. Unfortunately, she was sleeping in her castle. When we came in they had each child take their picture with Ariel. However, Mommy didn't have the camera ready and missed the photo opportunity. While we ate, the server brought over the picture they prepared of Mikaela and Ariel. They wanted $25 for it! Mommy didn't want to spend that much, but didn't want to leave without a pic of the two either. So, as we were leaving we asked to take a picture of them. Mikaela went over to Ariel and told her the picture they made was too expensive, so we needed to take our own! :) Ariel was very gracious. Honesty can be embarassing, but cute!

To our surprise, the kids' favorite ride was Big Thunder Mountain. Elijah wasn't even 4 yet, but he was tall enough to go on the rollercoaster. We were a little nervous that he would be too scared. Mikaela is a little daredevil like her Mom, so we weren't as worried about her. The first time on the ride they did great. Altogether we rode it about 8 times! Each time they got a little more comfortable. They were even brave enough to raise their hands! The funniest part was Elijah's reaction. At first he would hold on and let out a shrill scream for almost the whole ride! Then he'd be brave and put his hands up, scream and then laugh! It was hilarious!!!

Mikaela impressed everyone by going on Space Mountain! What a big girl ride! She had so much fun! We really enjoyed our time at Disneyland and can't wait to go back. Although it probably won't be any time soon.

Mommy is 13 weeks pregnant and starting to feel a little bit better. Her due date is September 17th. We are really looking forward to our new addition! Daddy is back in school and working hard. He's been building a shed in our backyard and it's almost finished!

Well, that's all for now!
